southeast asian | a dinner cooking class with kristin | october 18th

Join us for a festive Asian-inspired cooking class upstairs in the La Poste kitchen!

This evening, we will explore the diverse ingredients and traditions of the cuisines of Vietnam and Thailand! I am definitely not the expert in this style of food, but I definitely love it and have such a passion for the fresh, herb-filled subtleties of this amazing cuisine. We will explore the dishes that are often eaten in the hot, exotic night markets and from street stalls…smoky meats, cold salads, lots of fun nibbles, and icy cold fruits.

We will begin with a couple of hours casually cooking together around the big island with nibbles (of course) followed by a seated dinner of what we’ve prepared together around the dining table.

This is a wine-included cooking class. We apologize but due to our permit, no outside alcohol is allowed on La Poste’s property.

  • Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.

  • La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.

+ Cooking classes and creative workshops are always small, hands-on, laid-back, focus on what’s in season, and culminate with a festive, shared meal.

+ Once purchased, your class or workshop tuition is non-refundable, but you may have someone attend in your place if you are unable to attend.

+ If the class or workshop must be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances on the part of la poste, you will have the choice of scheduling a new class or workshop or receiving a complete refund.

+ la poste is surrounded by grassy and gravel areas, steps, and changes in elevation. Please dress appropriately, comfortable footwear and an extra layer of warmth is recommended.

+ I apologize, but La Poste is housed in a historic building and the kitchen can only be accessed by a small set of stairs to the second floor.
