Big Reds: a special seated wine tasting event (+ complimentary nibbles) with Drew Summers + Advintage Distributing
Do you struggle to find that perfect BIG RED wine? We do! So many of the full-bodied red wines you find at most wine shops and grocers are filled with added sugar, flavors, dyes, tons of added sulfites, and are often over-oaked … not to mention these wines can leave you feeling pretty crappy the next day!
We have been working for the last six months tasting, tasting, tasting to round up a bunch of big, bold, beautiful red wines that are grown sustainably and crafted in a thoughtful manner. These wines are perfect for dinner parties, cozy nights in front of the fire, or simply sipping on a summer evening on the deck!
We will sit, learn, sip and nibble in the cozy upstairs space at La Poste!
This is a seated, guided red wine tasting
Complimentary nibbles will be served alongside
All wines tasted will be discounted 10% the evening of this event
Receive 15% case discounts if ordered the evening of this event
A little about Drew (the world’s most interesting man??):
2025 will mark my 14th year in the wine industry, the only profession I’ve ever known. My fascination originally began after a stint conducting research on historical rhetoric at the University of California, Berkeley during an extended Maymester through my alma mater, Furman University. The professor with whom I was collaborating with was a bit of a wine connoisseur, so we’d spend our weekends trekking through the various viticultural regions just north of the city. He quickly noticed and encouraged my burgeoning interest, and within months of returning to Greenville, I’d found a summer job stocking shelves and pouring glasses at one of the southeast’s great wine shops/bars, Northampton Wines.
After almost 5 years at Northampton (including the final years of my collegiate career), I moved into the realm of importation and distribution with Advintage Distributing where I’ve remained for nearly 9 years, the past 6 of which have been spent managing an ever-growing regional sales team. I’ve been fortunate enough to have traveled to wine regions around the globe, and have pursued a number of formal certifications including those issued by the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.
Space is very limited! Be sure to save yours in advance!
Once booked, we are unable to cancel or refund your space. You may have someone else attend in your place.
