La Poste Cookbook Club #1: a cooking class + lunch with Kristin

This month’s book: Bright Cooking: Recipes for the Modern Palette, by Camille Becerra

Welcome to the first of many La Poste Cookbook Club cooking classes! This month, we are cooking from one of my favorite new books written by Chef Camille Becerra! ‘Bright Cooking,’ is basically her user-friendly manual for simply making your food way more beautiful, healthy and delicious!

Camille gives us the recipes and techniques for preparing little things to keep on-hand to elevate simple, often plant forward foods by adding brightness in the way of quick sauces, pickles, and other fun condiments. She offers so much great advice on how to easily incorporate more nutritious ingredients into every day dishes. I can’t wait to share her gorgeous recipes and strategies with you!

During this monthly cooking class series, we will deep dive into different cookbooks that we carry ; much like a book club, class + festive lunch all rolled into one! We will spend each day in the kitchen chatting about the cookbook and why we love it, learning some of our favorite recipes + strategies from the book, and finally sitting down to a delicious lunch of what we’re prepared together.

Abby will be on-hand guiding us through several super natural wines that pair perfectly with each dish.

Your class ticket includes a 25% discount off of each book.

  • This is a wine-included cooking class. We apologize but due to our permit, no outside alcohol is allowed on La Poste’s property.

  • Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.

  • La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.
