11a - 3p

We have always believed that the easiest way to prepare the most delicious food is to cook with the seasons using locally grown or locally sourced ingredients.  When shopping at your local farmer’s market or growing food for yourself, each ingredient is guaranteed to be at its just-picked peak!  By getting to know your local farmers you will be connected to your food in a deeper, more sustainable way.

We hope you’ll join us in the kitchen at La Poste for this special day filled with cozy Fall ingredients. In this class we will learn how these special local ingredients just taste better and only need to be prepared in the simplest fashion, followed by seated lunch of what we’ve prepared.

We will be on-hand with perfect Fall wines to sip during class and with lunch.

*Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policies before booking.

A little bit about Nathan:

Nathan is a really neat, super talented and highly experienced chef and restaurateur who has called Johnson City, TN home since 2016. His culinary background was shaped in some exceptional kitchens, including The Willows Inn on Lummi Island, Luksus/Tørst in Brooklyn, Amass in Copenhagen, The Roosevelt and Dutch & Co. in Richmond, VA; and Five & Ten and The National in Athens, GA. He founded and recently sold Timber! in Johnson City, to focus on teaching cooking and crafting unique hospitality experiences across the Southeast.

  • This is a wine-included cooking class. We apologize but due to our permit, no outside alcohol is allowed on La Poste’s property.

  • Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.

  • La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.
