Pasta 101 | Cooking Class + Lunch with Guest Chef Sandra Stefani

Join Chef Sandra in a fun, casual kitchen experience as she shares her vast knowledge of regional Italian cuisine. Today’s focus is fresh pasta! You will learn each step from scratch and experience hands-on learning as we knead, roll, and cook together… all while nibbling on traditional Italian snacks, of course!

After we spend a couple of hours cooking together around the big kitchen island, guests will enjoy a seated lunch of what you’ve prepared.

During class and lunch, we will learn all about and pour some of our favorite summery wines from our favorite regions in Italy!

A little bit about Sandra:

Originally from Pisa, Italy, Sandra has excelled in every role of the food industry since 1979-as a hostess, server, chef and wine expert. She was mentored by Joseph De Assereto at Cantina D’Italia in Washington, D.C. She moved to Miami in 1990, becoming a sought-after private chef and cooking instructor. Sandra owned Casa Toscana, a beloved Miami’s Upper East Side eatery, and later created Open Kitchen, a cafe and cooking school. Now based in the mountains of North Carolina, Sandra continues to inspire through private, catered dinners and fun “hands on” cooking classes.

This is a wine-included cooking class. We apologize but due to our permit, no outside alcohol is allowed on La Poste’s property.

  • Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.

  • La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.
