A little bit about Sarah Ann:
My love for baking has been a lifelong passion and a huge part of who I am. Before meeting my now-husband, Brien, I was a pastry chef at Balsam Mountain Preserve. In 2014, I moved to Cashiers to help Brien open Slab Town Pizza and, soon after, begin our family.
In 2019, I took a leap of faith and opened my first brick-and-mortar bakery, Valley Bakery. Unfortunately, COVID brought that chapter to an unexpected halt, but one of the greatest blessings to come from it was realizing just how special my customers were. I was fortunate enough to keep so many of my loyal customers over the years, and I’ve continued baking for people in our community every week.
Now, I’m so excited to share my love, knowledge, and talents with others through baking classes. There’s something so special about gathering around the kitchen, learning something new, and creating something delicious from scratch—and I can’t wait to share that with you!
This is a wine-included cooking class. We apologize but due to our permit, no outside alcohol is allowed on La Poste’s property.
Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.
La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.
