5pm - 7pm
We hope you’ll join us this evening for a festive gathering to celebrate Fall with one of our favorite wine distributors - Haw River! - and importers - De Maison Selections! - for a casual gathering filled with delicious Spanish wines + the perfect complimentary bites to accompany them.
Let’s pretend we’re sauntering along Barcelona’s Las Ramblas this evening, popping into each atmospheric tapas bar we pass! We’ll sip lovingly crafted glasses of wine and nibble on endless tiny plates of fun, interesting bites. We will dig into plates of acorn-fattened hams and salty cheeses and every little delicious oily and pickled thing we can get our hands on!
The folks from Haw River + De Maison will be on-hand to chat with us about the wineries and their passion for these special wines.
A little bit about De Maison Selections:
De Maison Selections is the exclusive US importer of exceptional wines, ciders, sherries and spirits from our family of independent producers in Spain and France. De Maison Selections was founded by André Tamers in 1996 upon his return from a three-year journey throughout Spain. The company was named in honor of his mother, whose family roots go back to Haute-Savoie in France. "Each of our farmers employs various organic practices; some are E.U. certified organic, while others have pursued biodynamic certification. We understand that agriculture is a craft, and we support the decisions that our producers make to leave their lands and communities better for the next generation."
A little about Haw River Wine Merchant:
Headquartered in the small mill town of Burlington, NC. We've been importing European wines since 1995, primarily focusing on small, family-owned Italian producers. We began with 6 producers from the southern region of Puglia, and have since expanded into almost every Italian region representing dozens of estates, along with brand new producers in France, Spain and Australia.
Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.
La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.
