wednesday, august 27, 2025
11a - 3p
Join us today for this very special lunch cooking class in the La Poste kitchen with guest chef Peyton Barrell. We are so excited to Peyton back and share his passion for this vibrant cuisine with you! And our passion for natural wine, too (of course!)
From Peyton: Join me today for a deep dive into the cuisine of Vietnam. For my entire career as a Chef I have been enthralled by Vietnamese food and its evolution throughout modern history. In this class we will be exploring cold dishes that are perfect for combating the heat, travel well for your picnic, and make the ultimate poolside or lake lunch.
In addition to learning our dishes, we will discuss the all mighty "Pantry" and all the staples to set you up for success at home. Guests can expect to get their hands dirty and learn how to prepare some of Vietnam's classics.
This class can accommodate pescatarians but cannot accept any Nut, Soy, Allium, or Shellfish Allergies. If you are extremely spice adverse please join me for a future European-themed class.
Class will begin with a couple of hours of casual instruction around La Poste’s beautiful new kitchen island - nibbling on several small bites - and then finish with a festive, seated lunch of what we’ve prepared.
This is a wine-included lunch cooking class. We apologize but due to our permit, no outside alcohol is allowed on La Poste’s property.
Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.
La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.
