3pm - 5pm

Join artist Mia Zoller for a creative and calming afternoon in the shade of the garden at La Poste capturing the blooming beauty of the plateau. This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to help you unwind, while learning the basic foundations of watercolor.

In today’s class, we will learn how to use watercolors to capture an image of nature seen in front of us. The beauty of local bramble blackberries, their leaves and spiky thorn-filled branches will be our focus and inspiration.

Attendees will take home your own painting inspired by lazy lush days in our slice of mountain paradise.

All materials will be provided, along with tastes of a couple of our favorite summery wines.

A little bit about Mia:

Mia Loia Zoller is a visual artist invested in exploring the narratives between the natural world and our human condition. She has been painting with watercolor since she was a little girl, using her favorite medium to record her adventures between the woodlands and coastlines of the north east. She has been teaching workshops for over 10 years, sharing her love of nature based art with her communities. She is currently based between Greenville, SC and Glenville, and loves capturing the wonder of the Blue Ridge mountains through her art.

  • This is a wine-included class. We apologize but due to our permit, no outside alcohol is allowed on La Poste’s property.

  • Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.

  • La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.
