11a - 3p

Join us today for this very special lunch cooking class upstairs in the La Poste kitchen as we celebrate summer + our passion for the beautiful, seasonal foods of Italy! In addition, I am honored to have local beekeeper, Lindsay Green, join us in the kitchen! Today, we will have the opportunity to hang out with Lindsay and learn all about the fascinating art of beekeeping! Lindsay will share her personal story and struggles of keeping bees, collecting and using honey, and caring for this essential insect that literally helps the world go-round!

We will cook some of my most treasured summery Italian dishes filled with beautiful local produce, pasta, bread, cheese…and honey! Lindsay will help me share with you the magical aspects of eating and cooking with honey! We will also learn how to taste, keep, preserve and serve beautiful, local single flower honeys.

Lunch will be a seated affair of what we’ve prepared together!

A little about Lindsay + Devin:

Lindsay and Devin are the owners behind Bee. honey+hive, a small-scale beekeeping business nestled in Western North Carolina. With apiaries (aka bee yards!) in Henderson and Transylvania counties, they produce raw, local honey and raise nucleus colonies (nucs) for fellow bee lovers.

What started as a shared curiosity about backyard beekeeping eventually grew into a full-fledged beekeeping biz—and now, they’re on a mission to spread the buzz. From leading hive tours to teaching hands-on classes or just chatting about pollinators at the farmers market, Lindsay and Devin love helping people connect with the magic of honeybees.

This is a wine-included cooking class. We apologize but due to our permit, no outside alcohol is allowed on La Poste’s property.

  • Please be aware of La Poste’s cancellation policy before signing up.

  • La Poste’s kitchen is located on the second floor of a historic building. Taking a small flight of stairs to the second story is required to access the kitchen. I apologize that this may not be ideal for everyone. Please let me know if you’re unable to attend for this reason and I will do my best to help you find a time to attend class at the Barn.
